Medium Format Magazine- Camera Review

When I recently menti0ned to one of the editors of Medium Format Magazine that I had switched medium format cameras recently, I never expected to be writing a full review for the magazine, but that’s just what happened.

I’m no stranger to medium format photography, having bought my first camera forty years ago in October 1984 (a Lubitel 166B Soviet made camera, but only £17.95!). In the intervening years, I’ve owned Hasselblad, Pentax and Fujifilm MF film cameras and a Pentax digital camera, but I’ve recently become dissatisfied with my Pentax 645Z– it’s been a great camera, but lens quality could be iffy and I never could find a really sharp telephoto lens. So in August I bought into the Fujifilm GFX system with a new GFX100SII.

To read my review of the camera, subscribe to the magazine. It’s a quality publication with beautiful images from some of the best photographers in the world.
