Acadia National Park
I first visited Acadia National Park in Maine in 2006, and since that early visit, I’ve been back every year, often two or three times a year (27 trips and counting now). It has become a very special place for me. Acadia is one of the smallest national parks, but also one of the most diverse in terms of landscape. There are woods, ponds and streams, mountains, valleys, trails and miles of rocky coastline. Although I’ve been to many national parks and continue to photograph all over the US and in Europe, I’ve made it my mission to get to know Acadia intimately. To that end, I’ve written two books on Acadia, The Photographer’s Guide to Acadia (now in its third edition) and Under October Skies, my coffee table book. I also have a website devoted to my photography there, Images of Acadia.
