The Landscape

The landscape has inspired artists for hundreds of years. Landscape photographers like Ansel Adams were early inspirations for me. It can be hard work though; there are so many photographers working in the American West that I find it hard to be original. While I’ve concentrated more in the American Northeast, these are a few images that I’ve made on trips across America and Britain; some very familiar while others are unknown to many (Phillips County, Kansas and central Illinois). But although some images might seem very familiar, that doesn’t take away from the awe-inspiring beauty that can be found in most of the natural areas around the world.
